Working time records for UK employers, with evidence you can verify
Workfide is the platform your organisation uses to manage working time end to end: clocking in and out, hours actually worked, overtime, shifts, holiday and absence. The practical difference is simple: every record is stored so that you can later demonstrate it has not been altered.
What UK employers are expected to keep
The Working Time Regulations require employers to keep adequate records showing that the weekly working time limit and the night work limits are being complied with, and to keep them for two years. Separately, National Minimum Wage law requires pay records that can evidence hours worked, and HMRC expects an employer to produce them on request.
Holiday entitlement, rest breaks and opt-out agreements all rest on the same underlying data. Workfide helps you organise and evidence those records; responsibility for compliance always stays with the employer, and we recommend validating your specific setup with your employment adviser.
Evidence you can actually verify
In most time and attendance tools the record lives in an editable database: if someone disputes a figure at a tribunal or in an audit, the only answer is the vendor's word. In Workfide every clocking is a new entry that is never deleted, with a cryptographic fingerprint chained to the previous entry and a timestamp.
That evidence layer is AxIA Protocol. For HR or finance it means something concrete: you can explain and demonstrate hours, not merely assert them.
Data, language and privacy
The interface, manuals and support are available in English. Working time data is encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated per organisation, with access profiles and two-factor authentication. Facial biometrics are never enabled by default, and data residency options are available for larger groups.
